Kikusui Aged Funaguchi

This is the Original Gold, aged a year at low temperature before it reaches you. Funaguchi is never pasteurized, so its enzymes stay active, and they keep working the whole time it sits.

What comes out is heavier and rounder. Richer flavor, fuller in the mouth, a slight velvet to the texture, where the Gold is bright and fruity. Still undiluted, still 19%, still caught at the press.

The aluminum can blocks light, and Kikusui fills a 180ml can to 200ml so almost no air gets in. That matters more for this sake than for most.
